The Patro Roc-Amadour, located in the Limoilou neighborhood of Quebec City, is a community center that creates and fosters an inclusive environment, contributing to personal development through recreation, sports, and mutual aid, while encouraging the participation of youth, seniors, and vulnerable individuals. Since its inauguration in 1948, the Patro has welcomed people of all ages with a diverse program of activities and events.
Many activities are also tailored for teenagers and young adults living with intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorders. The Patro thus becomes a living environment for these young people, where they experience successes and grow in a stable and welcoming setting, contributing to their validation by peers and significant caregivers.
Finally, the Patro offers a wide range of services to support vulnerable populations facing issues such as food insecurity and isolation. In doing so, it helps improve the quality of life for the citizens of its community.
